A Brief History of Allenmore

Allenmore Public Golf Course was opened with 18 holes in August 1931.  The Course was owned by Sam Allen and D.W. Dinsmore thus the name Allenmore.  After WWII an additional nine holes were added.  The course stayed as a 27 hole course until the early 1960's. Mr. Allen sold the entire property to The Tacoma Elks Lodge #174, and reverted to the present state of 18 holes.
